We met almost 2 years ago now, we just got engaged and will be married in January.
He is such a hard worker that when we first met, I didn’t think he’d have time for me; but I was wrong!! He works as a personal aid for adults with mental disabilities in the evenings, works part time during the day as a handyman, (seriously, this guy can fix anything!) and just started working in the financial industry helping families with life insurance, pre-paid legal, senior health, home security, and more to come as he gets his licenses. Aside from all of that, he still makes time to keep himself healthy by going to the gym, and to spend time with the people he loves with all his heart!!
When my dad comes to visit, he will even take an evening off to play card games with us (at my dad’s request). I live with, and take care of my grandmother with advanced Alzheimer’s, she simply adores him, and he’s just the sweetest with her. Someday, when our caretaking days are behind us, we’ll expand the financial industry and he can take a step back from the handyman stuff, but for now; he’s the hardest working man I know!

Brandon Hedge
Brandon is the hardest working man I know. He loves God and his family. He is an amazing husband and father. During the summer he was working 6 and sometimes 7 days a week 10 hours a day performing fire mitigation for PG&E. Brandon has to sometimes hike miles carrying gear to get to his destination to make a fire clearance for power poles. His days are long and the work is hard, but when he comes home it’s all about his family. No matter how tired he is when he comes home from a long day he always has a smile on his face and something funny to say to make me laugh. He loves us fiercely and we know it. He works so hard to provide for his family. And our daughter is his biggest fan. Everything he does he does for his family. His hardworking has allowed me to be a stay at home wife and mom, and I will forever be grateful for everything that this man does for us.

Troy Rogers
Troy has been working for three years as a roofer at MotherLode Roofing. No matter what is thrown at him, he does the job and does it with integrity. He is a father of two boys and leads by example. Troy is always the first one at the job every morning and works his butt off for our young family, including helping me make dinner and clean at the end of the day. Troy lost his mother, Patricia three days before our second son was born. He was also her caregiver, and she had moved up here so we could care for her. I could not be prouder of the man he is. I don’t think Troy realizes what an amazing person and good man he is. We love you!

My dad is the best dad in the world. And he also is a log truck driver. He is a hard worker; he puts in a lot of overtime. My dad is a joker and he likes to play with me, my dog, and my cousins. Cody Handel
Cody works so hard and never ever complains. He wakes up everyday at either 1:30am or 2:30 to make it to his job at Turlock Scavanger where he is a utility driver. He is constantly helping to cover other peoples shifts and staying over time. He never says “no” when someone is in need. After his long days at work he still makes time for me and all of our animals. On Fridays he works at the gun range in Waterford and on the weekends he works moving trailers as a side job. I don’t know how he does it all! If anyone deserves this award it is him. He manages to always stay happy and willing to help anyone who needs it even when he is running on little to no sleep. He works harder than anyone I’ve ever known but he would never admit it himself.

Taylor works 5 days a week as Pine Mountain Lake Maintenance and picks up side work after work and on some weekends to provide for our little family. Our 5-year-old son is a type 1 diabetic and his daddy has never missed an appointment. Even when he is worn out and wants off his feet, he still makes time to play with the kids and take care of our family. We love you and appreciate everything you do for us!

Jack Tumelson
My Husband Jack is my very best friend and has been for almost 11 years now. He is one of the hardest workers I know. He works hard as a School Bus mechanic for Oakdale Joint Unified School District, then comes home helps with our 3 crazy kids. On top of being an amazing dad he also steps up and coaches our kids in their sports. He coaches baseball and is the head Coach for the Modesto Falcons Jr novice team. Working with 6-8 years isn’t easy but he coaches and guides them to the best of their abilities, while also being a board member and League Rep for the Falcons. He also recently started his own mobile mechanic business all while still working his full time job.

Bj runs an 8 acer ranch, raises his teen son and cares for his elderly dad. He works sun up to sun down making sure everyone is taken care of. He never complains or asks for anything. He is always willing to take time to help a friend or neighbor even if it means he has no down time for himself. He is always a smile and a laugh to anyone he sees. Benjy is the kind of man we all need as a friend or a family member.
Bj is truly a special man. He loves with all of his heart and treats everyone he meets with a kind smile and respect. He has a passion for making sure he has a positive impact with anyone he meets and loves to brighten peoples day with his silly jokes or uplifting encouragement. He is so proud of his family and will always go out his way to put them first. Bj grew up with a special needs brother and is dedicated to helping others with disabilities in any way he can. He worked with special need children in the school near him for several years. He makes me so proud to be his Fiancé every single day. He makes me want to strive higher and be a better person always. We all have pasts and lessons we learn and Bj is proof that all things are possible with love and respect and determination.

Layne Reed works at ultra power in Chinese camp. He works many different shifts, sometimes many days without a day off! Layne still finds time to help out around his new home for Kalen, his fiancé. He also finds the time to help out his mother and grandmother with stuff they may need at their home, or any of his many friends. Layne finds the time to play ball on Thursdays nights, and other time off spent with Kalen and his loved ones doing different things like!
