The Cabin’s Happy Tails 02.25.25

KKBN has teamed up with the Humane Society of Tuolumne County and Live Oak Veterinary Hospital in Sonora to bring you Happy Tails. We are all animal lovers here at The Cabin and we want to see more loving pets find forever homes.

Each week we will feature a pet that needs a home and we hope you will find it in your heart to give them one. The morning host will announce pets on Tuesday Morning and you can check here to see photos and info.

: Buttercup is one of our shy kittens that doesn’t get quite as much attention as her outgoing friends, so she’s finding herself growing up at the shelter. She does warm up to people over time and likes pets and playtime- but the key word is to give her time and patience. Buttercup is very playful and adventurous once she feels comfortable, and would love to go home with you if you’re willing to give her some TLC! She’d thrive in a quieter home without a lot of hustle and bustle.

: Shilo: 6 months old, Male, Australian Cattle Dog mix, 25 pounds Sensitive, sweet, shy, Shilo is looking for a loving home to call his own. He was dropped off at Tuolumne County Animal Control and no one ever came for him, so now he’s with us so he can find a great home. Shilo is learning a lot of new things, like walking on a leash, playing with other dogs, and basic obedience. Since everything seems so new to him, expect to start with a blank slate with the cutie pie- training, home life, and learning all about the world! Come by during open hours and ask to meet Shilo!

: Sonic: 3 years old, Male, Terrier mix, 18 pounds Sonic is your best friend once he knows you’re safe and part of his pack, but is unsure in new situations and when meeting new people. Sonic has made so many friends with our volunteers and staff and loves them dearly, but you will need to give him a few minutes to feel at ease. Sonic seems to know a few basics about living in a home and would love to continue to learn what a true family is with you!

: Benji: 6-year-old, Male, Labrador mix, 40 pounds Benji is a hoot! This playful fella has all the happy antics of a young pup, but the experience to know some basics to being in a home. Benji walks good on leash, has done well with other dogs, and enjoys a good romp in the yard before settling in for the night. Benji is at a great size too, not too big or too small at 40 pounds.

: Chrono: 4 months old, Male, Lab/Terrier mix, 25 pounds Chrono is the life of the party! This social butterfly will make any one his best friend. He loves meeting new people and playing any and all games you’re willing to play. He’s also made friends with the other dogs here and would be a great choice in a home with other playful dogs. Chrono is just a baby and still learning the basics, but he’s always an enthusiastic participant in any activity. Come by the shelter to meet Chrono!

: Charles 1 year old, 55 pounds, Male, Cattle Dog mix This handsome hunk came to us from Tuolumne County Animal Control in hopes of finding a new loving family! Charles can be very shy and timid in new situations, but give him time and you’ll see what a happy pup he truly is! Charles adores dog friends and we think he would thrive in a home with other dogs to play with and help him with his confidence. Charles is still young and learning basics, but his caretakers have him started off and are ready to pass on the baton to his new people. Come on down to the shelter to get to know this good looking pup!

: Bowie: 1 year old, Male, Chihuahua, 9 pounds Bowie is an itty bitty guy weighing in under 10 pounds. He’s sensitive and unsure of new people, but give him time and space to trust, and he’ll show you his affectionate and loyal side. Bowie is one that needs TLC, but give him that patience and he will reward you by being the best buddy you could ask for!

: Blossom: 3 months old, Female, Shorthair Tortie Blossom is your typical kitten- ready to learn all there is about the world and hoping to find her new home soon! She’s very playful and although shy in some new situations, give her a moment to warm up and her silly personality will come out in no time! Come by our kitten room and see this fun kitty for yourself!
