It was a terrifying experience for most the townspeople of Sonora today, when the notoriously nasty, Coyote Sam and his band of misfits rode into town to stop the 53rd annual Mother Lode Round Up! The Sheriff was assaulted as well as others in the crowded streets at lunchtime. The Mother Lode Queen and Contestants and Sheriff’s Posse were there when the outlaws showed up.
