An Unsung Hero is someone who donates their time and/or talents to a cause without the expectation of recognition or reward. The Adventure Café and Grill’s Unsung Hero Award is our chance to shine a light on those who make meaningful contributions to causes in the Mother Lode. Russ Wise
Russ lives in a senior mobile home park community, and despite being on limited income he cooks several times a week and provides meals to several less fortunate seniors who do not cook or have money to make ends meet. He also does repairs, picks up their garbage an takes some to doctor’s appointments. Russ is 70 years old and health issues of his own but Russ truly exemplifies an Unsung Hero.
