KKBN has teamed up with the Humane Society of Tuolumne County and Live Oak Veterinary Hospital in Sonora to bring you Happy Tails. We are all animal lovers here at The Cabin and we want to see more loving pets find forever homes.
Each week we will feature a pet that needs a home and we hope you will find it in your heart to give them one. The morning host will announce pets on Tuesday Morning and you can check here to see photos and info.

- Ducky: 2 month old, Female, Domestic Shorthair Tuxedo What’s not to love about Ducky? This little kitten is all love and spunk. She was raised as a bottle baby by her foster mom, so she’s been exposed to life in a home along with other dogs and cats. Ducky is social, loving, and curious- the perfect blend for any household. Expect this girl to explore, play, and be a wonderful member of the family!

- Johann: 8 year old, Male, Terrier mix, 20 pounds. Johann is a gem! This lovable boy is easy going and easy to work with. He has house manners and some basic obedience skills under his belt. Johann will happily hang out with you for some quiet time or will tag along for a nice walk around the block. Don’t hold his age against him- Johann has plenty of love left to give!\

- Tango: 1 year old, Male, Chihuahua/Pug mix, 10 pounds Tango gets his name for his happy dances! This boy will joyfully dance with you when he’s excited and enjoys the company of people. He strives to be a lap dog, your shadow, and being told how handsome he is. Tango would make a great buddy for someone looking for a smaller dog that has some pep, but also knows how to “kick back and relax.” Come meet Tango!

- Phantom: 7 year old, Male, Chihuahua mix, 15 pounds If you’re looking for an independent friend who enjoys adventures and exploring, come meet Phantom! This boy is loyal with his family, but is more of a free-spirit rather than a cuddle bug . He’s in great shape for a dog more mature in years and will keep up on hikes and road trips without issue. Phantom is very much a big dog trapped in a small body, so if you can appreciate a smaller buddy who wants to stay active, consider Phantom!

- Benji: 6-year-old, Male, Labrador mix, 40 pounds Benji is a hoot! This playful fella has all the happy antics of a young pup, but the experience to know some basics to being in a home. Benji walks good on leash, has done well with other dogs, and enjoys a good romp in the yard before settling in for the night. Benji is at a great size too, not too big or too small at 40 pounds.

- Graham: 8 months old, Male, Cattle Dog mix, 35 pounds Graham is a wiggly, happy-go-lucky, overjoyed-to-see-you type of pup! He loves playing with dog friends, so he would be a good candidate for a home with other dogs. Graham is learning some basic obedience skills and would make a great adventure buddy. He’s ready to have fun and meet his family, so come meet him today

- Sullivan: 2 months old, Male, Chihuahua mix, 3 pounds Sully is the most adorable teeny tiny pup we’ve seen in awhile! He will need a home that will keep him safe and loved. He’s tiny enough that getting stepped on or jumping off a couch too high could hurt him, and being outside unattended will make him susceptible to predators, so a vigilant home is a must! Sully is tiny but mighty for such a young guy- he’ll play with you and adventure around his house without problem. He loves being with people, but also does great when it’s time for him to settle. We just love this little guy and know you will too!

- Tracie: 2 year old, Female, Main Coon mix, 10 pounds This regal gal came to us with her litter of kittens after being found as a stray through Animal Control. Her kittens have since been adopted, and now it’s Tracie’s turn! She’s very friendly and active- loves to climb cat trees and watch her “kingdom” from above. Tracie is still learning how to be social with other adult cats and learning about dogs. Tracie is lovable and would make a great queen for her new home. Come meet her for yourself!

- Tessa: 18 months old, Female, Shorthaired Calico If you’re looking for a mellow and introverted friend, Tessa could be a great match! She loves chin scratches and would do well in a quieter home where she can relax and enjoy life at a slower pace. Don’t let her shyness fool you, Tessa is a lover!

- Sassy: 1 year old, Female, Shepherd mix, 60 pounds Sassy is very friendly with people and has made friends with several dogs at the shelter. She wants to play, play, play and would love to go home with you! She enjoys walks in low-traffic neighborhoods and will melt in your lap once she’s home and relaxed.

- All the cutie patooty siblings have been adopted. They were all born on January 23rd, 2024. Their mother is a small Terrier mix, but we suspect their dad was a larger breed. These puppies are expected to be medium sized, and are so much fun! They love to play, are very social, and will take on the day with vigor.

- Mochi: 7 month old, Male, Shorthair Tuxedo Mochi is as easy-going as they come. For a teenager, Mochi likes to explore and have playtime, but you can mostly find him sleeping in and taking naps on the cat trees. He mingles very well with the other cats in our lobby and does enjoys the company of all people he’s met.

- Rosko: 3 year old, Male, Aussie/Hound mix, 40 pounds Rosko is a loving boy who wants nothing more than to spend time with you. He has the dashing good looks of larger dogs, but he’s a petite guy at only 40 pounds. He’s done well with other dogs and loves to spend time outdoors. Rosko is learning some basics, but wants to please, so with some guidance he’ll have his training down in no time. Rosko would make an excellent car riding pal, fishing pal, or play-in-the-backyard pal- the key word is pal! Rosko excels at friendship and would love to add you as a BFF!

- Meena: 4 years old, Female, Chihuahua mix, 12 pounds Although small, this girl has a big heart! She is timid when she meets new people, but give her some time and she’ll be on your lap for pets in no time. She will need a few days to feel comfortable in her new home as she adjusts, so her ideal home would be willing to give her TLC and patience while she learns things are not so scary. Meena loves to play and will greet you enthusiastically once trust is built. She is a lovebug and worth the investment!

- Captain Beefheart: 8 month old, Male, 55 lbs, American Staffy mix Meet Captain Beef! This goofy goober is a beefcake of a pup that is all wiggles and happiness. He loves people and wants to play with other dogs and be the social butterfly. Captain loves to give kisses and will happily dance his way into your heart with his silly personality. He’s working on his basic obedience skills and is receiving an A+ from staff and volunteers, so we know he’s not only a cutie, but smart too!

- Macadamia: 5 month old, Male, Shorthair Macadamia is as sweet as he is stunning! This boy loves to play and has his bursts of energy, but is overall fairly mellow for a kitty his age. He gets along very well with all of the cats he’s met and will likely do well in a multi-pet household. With his all white fur, it is especially important that Macadamia stays indoors, so be prepared to have an indoor kitty if you’re interested in adopting!

- Bowie: 5 month old, Male, Domestic Shorthair/Tuxedo Handsome Bowie has your classic Tuxedo coat and is ready to have fun! Bowie loves to bounce around the kitten room with the rest of his pals and would do great in most home environments.

- Asher: 5 month old, Male, Shorthair Tuxedo Little guy Asher loves playing with his kitten friends and relaxing on cat trees. He can be a bit of a wallflower with people at first, but give him some time, and he’ll be climbing in your lap to say hello.

- Atticus: 1 year old, Male, Hound mix, 45 pounds This lovely boy is always happy to see you and has yet to meet a person he doesn’t love. His striking good looks and adorable ears will make him a head-turner on walks. He’s made dog friends at the shelter and might do well with a dog friend in his new home. Atticus is learning some of the basics and has an eagerness to please. Come meet this boy for yourself and you’ll fall in love!

- O’rion: 1 year old, Male, Cattle Dog mix, 45 pounds. O’rion is a good looking pup searching for a family! This adorable boy loves to play and has been happy to meet all the people he’s met at the shelter. He’s made a few dog friends while he’s been here and might like having a pal in his new home, too! Although young and playful, O’rion has a mellow side to him, so he’s up for exploring or relaxing in his free time. His sweet face will quickly make you fall in love, so come by and meet him!

- Ross: 5 months, Male, Domestic Shorthair/Tuxedo Ross is the life of the party! This boy loves to hang out on shoulders (maybe your head if you’ll let him!). If he’s not running around the kitten room playing and exploring, he can be found snuggled in the cat trees for a nap with his friends.

- Chandler: 5 month old, Male, Domestic Short Hair Say hello to Chandler! Chandler loves playing with his brother Ross, gets along well with other kitties, and loves to explore new places! This boy is confident and bold, so he’d do well with a family that can provide him with lots of fun and playtime!

- Luna: 10 month old, Female, Pit Bull/Border Collie mix, 40 pounds Luna is an easy-going girl looking for a loving place to call home. She is timid in new situations, but she enjoys making new friends, so with some confidence building, Luna will come out of her shell in no time. Luna has done well with other dogs and tends to be on the submissive side, so she would likely benefit from having a confident dog friend around that isn’t too rambunctious. Luna is still young and ready to learn! She will thrive with a gentle hand that can show her the ropes and teach her all the fun things life has to offer!

- Berlin: Black/White Shorthair, 5 months old, Male Little Berlin is still learning all there is to the world and can’t wait to continue growing up with a new family. He’s still a little guy, only a couple months old, but give him some TLC and all the fun a kitten can have.

- Abel: 3 year old, Male, Basset Hound/Bulldog mix, 40 pounds Abel is the cutest short-stack with the adorable blocky head of a Bulldog and the short legs of a Basset Hound. This boy loves to be fawned over and will wiggle with excitement when you say hello. He does great on his walks and might do well with a dog friend, too! Abel will definitely be one of the more unique looking dogs on the block and is an overall joy to be around.
