KKBN Hard Working Man 10.21.20

Francisco Espinoza

I would like to nominate Francisco as my hard working man.

We meet years ago when we were both going through hard times after divorce. He has been my rock ever since.

When we met he was working a truck driver on weekdays and as a warehouse man on weekends. Weekday shifts started at 3:00 am and he would never know what time he was getting out. His route often was the Bay area, and if you have ever commuted towards that way either in the morning or the afternoon you are doomed for traffic. There were time when he would be out at 9:00 pm and back at it at 3:00 am. On Friday when most of us look forward to the weekend he would wake up at 5:00 am to unload trucks of meat for the startup of the week. What was done usually by 2-3 men he would do, taking inventory and rotating product.

On Saturday evening when we all think ” Sunday, rest day, he once again went to work to receive even more trucks and stack order and deliver!!! He worked like this for 13 years!

My hard working man has 5 children with his first wife, 3 adopted children (mine) and one that is ours. He is currently working 12-16 hour shifts during this pandemic and yet comes home with the greatest deposition to get stuff done around the home, help the kids with homework, and spend quality time with them playing cards or video games. I do not know where he gets all his energy. The kids ask to go on bike rides, and when most would say ” I’m tired, later or another day” he is up for it.

He is always willing to help anyone and support all his children and if you were counting that was 9! He is also the soul provider for his widowed mother which in this year has been tougher than most due to Covid.

I would love for him to be recognized locally. I know that I am thanking him for all he does and telling him how much I appreciate all he does. If it were to come from the Cabin it would be a tremendous surprise!

Even if he does not win the knowing that I shared this story with you gives me hope and makes me realize even more that we, as a family are blessed to have him.
