Norma has been documenting her adventures on her Facebook page Driving Miss Norma:
For the last six months, she has been traveling around the United States with her family in a motor home. She has not experienced any pain and feels that her cancer may be going into remission.
Standing five feet tall and weighing 101 pounds, norma seems to have an unnatural amount of energy.
So far, she has seen the Rocky Mountains, visited National Parks, strolled through New Orleans, and taken part in a Native American Ceremony.
Suffering a devastating loss has given Norma some perspective. “Keep praying every day and God will take care of you, even when it feels like you can’t care for yourself,” she told the Good News Network. Her best advice is to talk about the happier times. “Storytelling is really, really helpful,” she said.
And she didn’t let anything slow her down. She went hot air ballooning in Florida…
She even tried her first mimosa.
And had her first fist bump.
A very important milestone.
So how can we be more like Norma? “Just keep on going every day, that’s about it,” she says. According to her Facebook page, she aspires to go to the moon. Hopefully that will be the next addition to the journey. (h/t good news network)
